Projects
Organize work into projects — track status, clients, deadlines, team members, and task progress from a single card grid.
Overview
Projects group related work so you can see, at a glance, who is involved, how far along it is, and when it is due. Each project carries a status, an optional client and deadline, a description, a team of members, and a live count of its open and total tasks.
Projects are shown as a grid of cards. Selecting a card opens a side panel where you can edit every field inline and manage the team.
Opening Projects
Navigate to Projects in the sidebar (the folder icon, just below Tasks). The page lands on every project you can see, newest first.
You only see projects you have access to. Organization owners and admins see every project; everyone else sees the projects they have been added to.
Browsing the grid
Each card summarizes one project:
| Element | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Status pill | The current stage — Not started, In progress, On hold, Completed, or Cancelled. |
| Name & client | The project title and, when set, the client it belongs to. |
| Description | The first lines of the project description. |
| Avatars | The project's members, with a +N badge when there are more. |
| Task count | Open tasks over total tasks (for example 3/12). |
| Deadline | The expected finish date — shown in red when it is overdue and the project is not yet completed. |
The grid loads more cards automatically as you scroll toward the bottom.
Searching, filtering, and sorting
Search. Type in the search box to filter by project name or client. Results update as you type.
Filter by status. Use the status chips below the search bar. Each chip shows how many projects match within your current search. Selecting a chip narrows the grid; selecting it again clears it.
Sort. Use the sort menu on the right to order by Most recent, Name (A–Z), or Deadline. Projects without a deadline always sort to the end.
Creating a project
Select New project (available to organization owners and admins). A panel opens in create mode where you set the name, optional client, description, status, and deadline.
Name the project. The name is required — Create project stays disabled until you enter one.
Fill in the rest. Client, description, status, and deadline are all optional and can be changed later.
Create. The new project opens immediately, and you are added to it as its first manager.
Editing a project
Open any project card to view its details. If you can manage the project, every field edits in place:
- Name, description — click the field, type, then press Enter (or click away) to save. Press Esc to cancel.
- Client — pick a client from the dropdown, or type to create a new client inline (admins only); choose No client to clear it.
- Status — click the status pill and pick a new status.
- Deadline — pick a date; a tag shows how many days remain, or Overdue when the date has passed.
Changes save instantly. If you do not have edit permission, the fields are read-only.
Managing members
The Members section lists everyone on the project with their role.
Add a member. Select Add member and choose any organization member who is not already on the project.
Change a role. Use the role control next to each member to switch between Manager and Standard.
Remove a member. Choose Remove from project from the same menu.
- Managers can edit the project and manage its members.
- Standard members have read-only access to the project.
Completing, reopening, and deleting
Open the ⋯ menu in the project panel header:
- Mark as completed sets the status to Completed and records the finish date.
- Reopen project returns a completed project to In progress.
- Delete project permanently removes the project after a confirmation prompt. Deleting a project does not delete its tasks — they simply lose their project link.
