Task Templates
Save a task as a reusable template — fields plus checklist — and load it into any unfinished task to fill it in one step.
Overview
Task templates turn recurring work into a one-click starting point. A template stores one task's subject, description, type, priority and tags, plus its entire checklist (groups and items, including each item's description). The library is shared by your whole organization: anyone can save a task as a template and anyone can load one into a task they're working on.
A template is a copy at load time — editing or deleting a template later never changes tasks that were created from it.
A template does not store assignees, dates, hour estimates, custom fields, or checklist completion state. Loading one never moves the task to another board or stage — placement, assignees and deadlines stay exactly as you left them.
Saving a task as a template
Build one good task once — the briefing in the description, the step-by-step in the checklist — then capture it:
Open the task and click the ⋯ menu in the top-right of the task panel.
Choose Save as template. The dialog suggests the task's subject as the template name — keep it or type a better one (names don't have to be unique).
Confirm. The template appears in your organization's library, available to everyone.
Loading a template into a task
Works on any task that isn't finalized (and isn't blocked) — freshly created or already in progress:
Open the task, click ⋯ and choose Load template.
Pick a template from the list — each entry shows its name, task type and checklist size.
Read the warning: loading clears and replaces the task's subject, description, type, priority, tags and entire checklist. There is no merge mode.
Click Load template to confirm. Review the filled-in task and adjust whatever is specific to this instance — the title, for example.
Loading a template overwrites what the task already had, including checklist items and their check state. If the task has meaningful content, make sure you want to replace it — there is no undo.
Managing the library
Renaming and deleting templates is curation of a shared library, so it's restricted to organization owners and admins, under Settings → Task templates (in the Tasks section, next to Task types and Tags):
- Rename a template by clicking its name, typing, and pressing Enter.
- Delete a template with its row menu — the row turns into an inline confirmation. Tasks already created from it are not affected.
If a task type or tag referenced by a template is later deleted from your organization, the template keeps working — loading it simply omits the missing value.

Frequently asked
Does editing a template update tasks created from it? No. The template is copied at the moment you load it — there's no live link.
Can a template create several tasks at once? Not in this version. A template models exactly one task. Multi-task processes (e.g. a client onboarding flow) are out of scope for now.
Are checklist items loaded as done? Never — every item arrives unchecked and unassigned, ready for the new run of the work.
Task Board
Work your tasks on a kanban board — stages as columns, exact per-column totals, board-wide filtering including subject match, and columns that load more as you scroll.
Custom Fields
Define your organization's own information fields for tasks — pick a type, name it, set the order, and manage them all from one place.
