Updated Oct 12, 2026

October 2026

Safer task deletes and easier copyingBoard & Tasks

Deleting a task or subtask now tells you how much logged time goes with it, and blocks the delete if it would remove time logged by others that you can't manage. You can also copy a description without entering edit mode.

New dashboard and an all-workspace task listBoard & Tasks

The dashboard now shows your assigned tasks in a table, with breakdowns per workspace. "View all" opens your tasks in a list across every workspace.

The sign-in and sign-up pages have a new split layout that shows what Gipo does.

New Free, Basic and Pro plansAccount & Billing

Choose between Free, Basic and Pro, each with clear limits, and upgrade in-app whenever you need more. Brazilian customers can now pay in BRL.

Client imagesClients & Projects

Give each client its own image. It shows on the client grid, the project list and the kanban, so you can spot clients at a glance.

Changelog in the user menuPlatform

Open "What's new" from your user menu to see the latest changes, alongside a cleaner subtask panel and timer button.

Subtask estimates and due datesSubtasks

Each subtask can have its own estimate and due date. The parent task's estimate sums its subtasks, and its due date extends to cover them after you confirm.

All projects in pickers and filtersClients & Projects

Project and client pickers and filters now list every project and client, not only the first 100.

Live updates in the open taskComments & Collaboration

An open task now updates live while others edit it. This covers fields, subtasks, comments, attachments, time entries and the activity feed, and anything you are still typing is kept.

Task numbers in recent searchesBoard & Tasks

Tasks you opened recently now show their #number next to the subject in global search, the same way search results do.

Duplicate a taskBoard & Tasks

Make a copy of any task in one click. The copy keeps its fields, assignees, tags, custom fields and subtasks, and gets " - copy" added to the subject.

API concurrency limitPlatform

Each organization can have up to 3 API-key requests in progress at once. Extra requests get 429 with Retry-After, so retry after a short wait.

Finalized subtasks are read-onlySubtasks

A finalized subtask is now locked like a finalized task: no edits, no moves and no manual time. Reopen it to change it.

August 2026

Faster subtask creationSubtasks

Creating a new subtask group now opens its first subtask field automatically, without an extra click. Each subtask appears in the list the moment you press Enter, with a loading indicator until it's confirmed, and the field stays open for the next one.

New tasks appear at the top of the columnBoard & Tasks

Every newly created task now appears at the top of its column — always in sight, no scrolling or dragging.

July 2026

Convert a subtask into a taskSubtasks

Turn a subtask into a standalone task with one click, keeping its description, assignees, comments, attachments and logged time.

Automatic language detectionPlatform

First-time visitors see Gipo in their browser's language from the very first screen, and their account is created in that language. A Portuguese browser starts in Portuguese; everything else starts in English.

Sort a stage's tasks by priority or due dateBoard & Tasks

One click reorders every task in a stage by priority (urgent on top) or due date (soonest on top). It's a one-time action — manual drag-and-drop keeps working normally afterward.

Custom fields in the REST tasks APIPlatform

The public tasks API now reads and writes custom fields: they come back on GET with the task and can be sent on create and update.

Subtask timer: row play button and live presenceSubtasks

Start and stop the timer right on the subtask row and see, live, who is timing each subtask — without opening the detail.

Timesheet summary bandTime tracking

The Timesheet page now has a totals band at the top, surfacing the key numbers for the period clearly and immediately — less empty space, more value for those logging and reviewing time.

Comments through the integration APIComments & Collaboration

External systems can list, create and delete comments on tasks and subtasks through the REST API, including mentioning people so they get notified.

Task templatesBoard & Tasks

Save a task as a reusable template (fields + checklist) and load it into any unfinished task to fill it in one step.

Context-aware global search and subject filterPlatform

Ctrl+K search now surfaces the current page's record type first, gains a single entry in the top bar of every screen, and the task advanced filter can now filter by subject.

Global searchPlatform

The Ctrl+K palette now finds clients, projects and tasks by name or description from any screen, opening the record in a side panel without leaving the page.

Live board syncBoard & Tasks

The board updates itself on everyone's screen in under a second, with no refresh: created cards appear, deleted ones disappear, and moves and edits reflect for anyone with the same board open.

Projects list viewBoard & Tasks

Alongside the kanban, the Projects page gains a list view with status and client filters shared across both views.

Task context menuBoard & Tasks

Right-click a card on the board to open a menu with the most common actions (priority, assignees, project, block and more) without opening the task detail. The menu assembles itself according to the task's state.

Code block in the editorComments & Collaboration

The description editor (tasks, clients and projects) now has a code block, to capture technical snippets with proper formatting — handy for development and support teams.

Enriched workspace switcherBoard & Tasks

The board's workspace switcher now shows, for each option, how many tasks are open and which teammates have a timer running in that workspace right now.

Task blockingBoard & Tasks

Flag a task as blocked with the reason it's stuck: it freezes read-only with a red lock on the card, and the people who need to know are notified by email and in-app.

June 2026

In-app feedback channelPlatform

Anyone logged in can send feedback without leaving the product: open "Feedback" in the menu, pick a type (bug, feature idea, product feedback or other), write with formatting and images, and send it straight to the team.

Custom fields on tasksBoard & Tasks

Each organization can create its own task fields, on top of the built-in ones. Pick a type (text, long text, number, date, select or yes/no), give it a name, and it appears on every task — perfect for capturing the information specific to how you work.

Teams (project access by team)Clients & Projects

Instead of granting project access one person at a time, you now create teams (e.g. Design, Marketing) and grant access to a project for the whole team at once. Joining a team grants the projects automatically; leaving removes them.

Client-ready time reportReports

A print-ready, shareable time report you can group by person, type, project or client. Clean layout with totals, percentages and entry descriptions — built to hand to a client.

Always-available documentationPlatform

The documentation hub (usage guides and API reference) is now independent of the marketing site: it stays public and reachable by link even when marketing is turned off. Essential content for users, always online.

Single-row daily viewTime tracking

In the timesheet's daily view, each task shows as one lean row inside its project: essentials on the left, total and action on the right. Easier to read and edit a day's time.

One entry per task per dayTime tracking

There's now a single entry per task, person and day. Logging more time on the same task that day adds the hours up and prepends the new note — for a cleaner timesheet and a description that becomes the day's running log.

Time logging in a side panelTime tracking

Time logging now opens as a side panel sliding in from the right, matching every other record (clients, projects, tasks). When logging time inside a subtask, the levels cascade so the hierarchy stays visible.

Rich description on time entriesTime tracking

The time note is no longer plain text — it now uses the same editor as the task description: formatting (lists, bold, links) and the ability to paste images and screenshots straight in. Your time log can be as clear as a task description.

More reliable time trackingTime tracking

A set of refinements made time entries more accurate: no zeroed entries, alerts for forgotten running timers, correct totals when a timer crosses midnight, sane limits on durations, and a visual cue when spent time exceeds the estimate.

Unified time loggingTime tracking

Creating and editing a time entry now happens in one place, with the same look and rules inside a task and on the Timesheet. The task picker has rich, searchable context (subject, project, client and type), and admins and managers can log time on behalf of others.

See who has the timer runningTime tracking

You can now see, in real time, who is timing each task: the person's avatar is highlighted on the board card and in the task detail. It answers at a glance, "who's working on what right now?"

Collaboration on Clients and ProjectsComments & Collaboration

Comments (with mentions, replies and images), file attachments and an activity history — previously exclusive to tasks — are now also on client and project records. Each client and project becomes a space for conversation, documents and history.

Instant client and project creationClients & Projects

Creating a client or project now follows the same pattern as tasks: clicking "new" creates the record immediately and drops you into editing, cursor in the name field. One less screen, one less step.

Images in commentsComments & Collaboration

When writing a comment or reply, you can paste an image straight into the field, with the same cropping flow as the task description. The image shows as a chip inside the comment and opens full-screen on click.

Redesigned comments tabComments & Collaboration

The comments tab is now more compact and dense, taking far less vertical space — important because a task can pile up many comments. More conversation visible at once, with cleaner reading.

Replies, mentions and notifications in commentsComments & Collaboration

Task comments became a real conversation: reply to a specific comment, mention someone with @, and reference another task (which becomes a clickable chip). Anyone mentioned or replied to gets a bell notification and an email.

Lock on finished tasksBoard & Tasks

A finished task becomes read-only: its content is frozen and trustworthy. You can still add comments and attach files; to change anything else, simply reopen the task.

Projects Kanban boardBoard & Tasks

The projects page is now a Kanban board with one column per status (not started, in progress, on hold, completed, cancelled). Drag a project between columns to change its status, and reorder within a column in whatever order makes sense for your team.

Weekly summary emailNotifications & Email

An automatic weekly email digest ("your week in Gipo"): hours tracked vs. the previous week, hours per day, time by project, collaboration stats and upcoming tasks. Delivered Monday morning, in each person's own timezone.

Task activity logBoard & Tasks

The activity tab is now a dense, readable history: one event per line with an exact timestamp, showing what changed (old values struck through, new value beside them). Easy to follow everything that happened on a task.

Advanced task filterBoard & Tasks

The board filter now opens a full panel with nine groups (status, type, assignee, project, tags and more), multi-select, live counts and a bar showing the applied filters. You can combine criteria and see exactly how many tasks match each one.

Improved dashboardBoard & Tasks

The home dashboard now shows correct, more useful numbers: hours actually tracked this week, your tasks, and indicators that reflect the organization's real work instead of a limited sample.

Faster board loadingBoard & Tasks

On busy boards, each column now loads its first tasks and fetches more as you scroll, making the board open much faster. Totals and counters stay exact, accounting for every task.

Subtask groupsSubtasks

Subtasks can be organized into groups (for example, "Tests" or "Review"). Create, rename and delete groups, move subtasks between them and reorder within each group — keeping long lists far tidier.

Subtask as a full itemSubtasks

A subtask is no longer just a checklist row — it now has a description, assignees, reported hours and the same Comments, Files and Time tabs as the parent task. Clicking a subtask opens its own panel over the task.

ClientsClients & Projects

A dedicated Clients area in the dashboard, with search, inline editing of name and notes, and the list of projects linked to each client. A proper home for organizing who you work with.

ProjectsClients & Projects

The projects screen with search, filters, sorting and a side panel for detail and creation, with inline editing and project-member management. The backbone for organizing all work by project.

May 2026

Multi-language appPlatform

Gipo is now available in Portuguese (Brazil) and English, with the language following each person's profile — interface, messages, emails and date formatting. The foundation is ready to grow to more languages.
